Ministry of Public Works and Housing Calls Contractors Preparing for Continued Elevated Projects

Jakarta - On February 22th, Ministry of Public Works and Housing officially suspend the elevated construction projects aim to be evaluated. 32 projects from the total of 37 projects that Committee of Construction Safety evaluated has been permitted to continue the projects. 8 from 32 projects continue eventhough they have to pay attention to the notice that the committee gives.

Today, on the first day of March, Ministry of Public Works and Housing calls all the contractors that has been evaluated by the Committee. The calling however aims to make sure that the contractors prepare well to re-start their elevated contruction project.

“Tomorrow (on 1st March 2018) I gather them (contractors) to ask their preparation, here. By the evaluation, they should change. For example, their surveillance should be better. I need to make it sure,” Hadimoeldjono as the Minister of Public Works and Housing said.

In addition, from the total of 32 projects, there are 3 projects that were completed and had no construction works still listed, they are Kertosono-Mojokerto, Ngawi-Kertosono, and Cinere-Jagorawi toll roads. The rest 2 projects which are Serang-Panimbang, have not done the elevated construction works yet and Serpong-Balaraja which have not present their report yet to the Committee.
