Batam - The Sei Gong Dam is a project that has been built since the end of 2015 and has now almost at finalization process.  The Minister of Public Works and the People's Housing (PUPR), BasukiHadimuljono will check over  the project directly to this dam projects in Batam.

This current review is to ensure that the construction projects  with the budget Idr 238.44m is on going with initial development plan . Sei Gong  dam expected to finish  in the mid of 2018.

next, the storage capacity of this dam can save 11.8 million cubic meters and will be the source of water  supply for  Batam residents  area. With additional capacity water supply Sei gong  Dam can be flown to reaches 400 liters per second

The construction of Sei Gong Dam is a continuation of insufficient  water  supply for the needs of the city in Batam area. So there is still 371 liters deficited per second , and will increase the capacity in 2020 to 1,597 liters per second.Beside the Sei Gong Dam, there are other dams is targeted to finish this year, Rotiklot Dam in East Nusa Tenggara, Tanju Dam, Mila Dam and BintangBano Dam in West Nusa Tenggara, and Godang Dam and Logung Dam in Central Java
