Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing plans to extend the concession or the right to manage to Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BUJT). This was conveyed directly by the Minister of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono who said that the concession period which is still around 35-40 years  and consider to has a problem on tariff.

We instructed by the president  that hearing on expensive tariff  complain. BUJT and Jasa Marga are looking into of how to reduce the tariff “Minister Basuki said.

Presently, the official toll tariff around Idr.900 – Idr 1.300 per km. Trough the  extend of concession  can be  afforded  the tariff under Idr 1000 perkilo meter.

The concession  period  can be taken 5 to 10 years. Its necessarily be implemented on this year “Basuki said

Meanwhile the head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency , Herry Trisaputra Zuna conveyed, if  the concession are extendable then BUJT will have more revenue from the toll operated.

If the tariff is reduced then  the concession period will be added. Then they (BUJT) are in a rush pursuing return of investment. “ herry Said.
