The 1000 Kilometers of Toll Road Target Achieved



Bakauheni – President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo inaugurated the two of Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road segment, Sunday (June 21, 2018). The two segments are the 8.9 kilometer-long Bakauheni Harbor, and the 5.64 kilometer Lematang-Kotabaru .

The Trans-Sumatera toll road is one of the national strategic projects has 140.9 kilometers length which reached cost of Rp16.8 trillion. Along with two segments of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar toll road inauguration, the Government's target of achieving 1000 kilometers in 5 years under Joko Widodo as President has been carried out.

Until the inaugurated, the length of the toll roads that currently operated by Indonesia has reached 1,089 kilometers. Herry Trisaputra Zuna as Head of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) added, the construction target of the homeland toll road until 2019 is 1822 kilometer.
