Jakarta—Tuesday (4/3/2018), Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) with the associations held routine agenda. Through Directorate General of Bina Construction and Directorate General of Bina Marga collaborate with Ikatan Ahli Pracetak Prategang Indonesia (IAPPI) and Asosiasi Pracetak dan Prategang Indonesia (AP3I), this year PUPR held technical guidance of Prefabriated & Prestress Concrete for Elevated Road in Balai Jasa Konstruksi Area III, Jakarta. 396 participants were participate on the event.

396 participants come from the various construction companies, consultant supervisors and Consltant Planners that involve in elevated project. 10 from the total participants are police members from Department of the Directorate of Special Criminal on Metro Jaya Reserse. Their participation was an instruction from The Chief of Indonesia Police, General Tito Karnavian in preparing the investigator about construction knowledge to control construction implementation in field.

“The accidents however were a warning for us to prepared well. This event is our routine agenda since 2015, by organizing  a trainee for 200 engineers to be dam expert. Today, 396 participants field implementers attend technical guidance of prefabrication and prestess concrete of elevated road,” Basuki explained.

The purpose in organizing the event is to improve the quality and competency of the construction worker, especially for prefabrication and prestess concrete of elevated road works.

“According to the central bureu of statistic, untill the end of 2017, 702 thousands from 8,1 million Indonesian construction worker already sertified. Indeed, it is less than 10 percent. We target to reach 3 million sertified worker till the end of 2019,” said Director of General Bina Construction, Syarif Burhanuddin.

The technical guidence was held for 3 days long and filled with the task and function of the committee of Long Bridges and Tunnels and Road Security, Management System of Occupational Safety and Health (SMK3) Construction, SOP I Girder, SOP of Launcher Girder Equipments, ethics, study cases from the earlier construction accidents and field visit to double double track and LRT project in Cibubur—Cawang—Kuningan.
