Infrastructure Improvement Will Stop during Day-10 Untill Day+10

Jakarta—Ministry of Public  Works and Housing (PUPR) calls the infrastructure preparation during mudik season on this Lebaran is better than 2017. It is proved by the 90 percents of the mudik  infrastructure are in a good condition.

In Java Island for example, Ministru of PUPR has improve non toll road in Lintas Utara (North Line), Tengah (Central) and Selatan (South) Java.

“We did our best than the last year. For Pantai Selatan Line, we call it as scenic road or tourist path. The road condition is also better than the last year,” said Director of General Bina Mrga Arie Setiadi Moerwanto.

By the improvement of road infrastructure, PUPR provides Pantai Selatan Jawa (Java South Beach) to become people’s choice. The pros of the 1.405 Km length line is there are a lot of tourism beach sites near by the access road. Such as Santolo Beach, Pangandaran Beach, Teluk Penyu Beach, Parangtritis Beach, Soge Beach and Thee Colours Beach.

In addition, to avoid the crowded, Arie says that PUPR are going to stop the construction works on day-10 until day+10 of Lebaran. One of the construction project that is going to stop is elevated toll construction of Jakarta-Cikampek, and it will be back to 4 lines.

“To improve the comfort, the stoppage won’t be applied to minor hole expirations,” Arie explained.

To the landslide vulnerable location such as in Jalan Raya Puncak and Central Java, PUPR prepares Dissaster Relief Unit and Lebaran command post that completed with heavy equipment.

“The do anticipate for Rob Semarang, together with the Great Hall (Department) of Pemali Juana River Areas in preparing some pumps. We keep standby,” said Hedy Rahardian, Director of Road Preservation of Director General Bina Marga.
