Banten Mudik Path Secured by 6.000 Personnel

Serang—6.000 alliance personnel are deployed to secure on mudik path in Banten during mudik season. The security focused on Merak Harbour, Cilegon and Anyer Tourism Place.

“The total of personnel (police) around 1.775 for the internal and 4.000 personnel from another institutions such as department of transportation,  Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Pertamina and some other institutions,” said Tri Juliyanto Djatiutomo as Directorate of Banten Regional Police Traffic.

In addition, police department also prepare for the check point for the citizen whom pass the artery road. The check point can find on Citra Raya, Tangerang and also Modern Cikande area, Serang as purposed to rest area for those that want to go to Merak Harbour.

On the artery road, Djatiutomo says there are some potential traffic place such as sudden markets on Kalodran, Ciruas and also Gembong. To optimize the traffic line in several place, police have put some road barriers to prevent the market hit the road.

“We put some road barriers as the tech along artery road start from Gombong, Kalodran and also Ciruas until Cilegon and also canalization and Ketupat postguard,” he said.

Meanwhile, while entering the Merak area, there are also particular rest area that dedicated to citizen with  children. Beside the rest area, police and ASDP confirm to prepare free health post in Merak.

Djatiutomo notices the citizen particularly to those who ride their motor cycle don’t bring the over load baggage.

“Again, we notice to the citizen because we (police) want to keep you save and comfort, so the journey will be saved,” he warns.
