Precident Joko Widodo targets Ciawi-Cigombong toll road that has 15,35 Km length and also part of Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll project ready to operate on July 2018. Jokowi adds, when the toll road is operated so during mudik 2018 season, the toll road is already functional.

“We wait for Ciawi-Cigombong complete on July. Connect to Cibadak 2019 and to Sukabumi complete on 2020,” said Jokowi while he observes Bocimi toll road in Cigombong, Sukabumi, West Java.

If it is functional, the toll road will probably decrease the traffic on national road significatly, especially in Cibadak which is one of the most crowded road.

Directorate General of Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Arie Setiadi confims that PUPR commits to complete the Ciawi-Cigombong on July 2018 and will be functional on Lebaran (Ied Al Fitr) 2018.

“If it operate on July, during Lebaran will be functional to use,” said Arie.

He also adds to Section I of Ciawi-Cigombong, the progress of acquisition land has reached 98,55% and 77,39% for construction project.

Talking about the obstacles, Jokowi again claims there is no significant obstacles during the construction, including the land acquisition that mostly one of the big obstacles in construction toll road project.

“The progress was good. I didn’t get any report from BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises), field employee and so PUPR. Indeed, this kind of project sometimes one or two (obstacles) come, but generally all were going good,” said Jokowi.
